Dr. Willette King

OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Willette King was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Vancouver for secondary school education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. King then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating, Dr. King worked in Massachusetts and then returned to Vancouver, BC. She is now a TPA certified optometrist in B.C and a member of the BC Association of Optometrists. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Dr. King has been a guest speaker at church fellowships and on Fairchild Radio Vancouver regularly. Dr. King enjoys working with patients of all ages. She enjoys being the family eye doctor for the community and educating the public about eye health. Dr. King strongly believes that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Dr. King is also experienced in fitting contact lenses and is a strong advocate for myopia control, such as atropine therapy, special lenses for glasses and specialized contact lenses, such as Ortho-Keratology. Dr. King continues to serve more than just her local community and has been actively involved on short-term medical missions.

Outside work, Dr. King enjoys listening to music, snowboarding, biking, and venturing with her family.
